Newborn Sessions
Ages 5 days-3 months
Having a baby is one of the most incredible and fulfilling experiences in someones life. Newborn sessions are a great way to capture your newborn before they get too big.
The best time for your newborn session is when bubs is 2wks old and under as they do tend to sleep move and can be easly moved & unwraped without waking too much.
My style is more lifestyle with possible a prop or 2 if bubs is sleepy then some poses on the posing bag, and the rest of the session is about you and your baby, cuddles on the bed, holding your baby. We can still capture those tiny detail shots also, those tiny little fingers & toes, are all the little details I love to capture for my clients, they will have for a life time.
we can capture these beautiful moments up to 3 months of age, if you are wanting those sleeping images then best to book your session within bubs first 2 weeks of being born. In summer bubs will be in a summer outfit and only one wrap just lightly wrapped but in winter we bring out the winter outfits and bubs will be fully wrapped.
When to Book your Lifestyle Newborn Session?
Anytime, it is best to book in advance tho. We book in your session around 10 days after your due date, but we can move the session depending on when bubs arrives. But if you have already had your baby and decide you want newborn photos reach out and we can get you booked in on my next available date.
Your Session
These sessions are held in my Lowood home studio, 25mins from Ipswich.
My studio is warm, comfortable and welcoming and I aim to give a relaxing and enjoyable experience for my clients.
Please allow a good 2 hrs for your newborn session. This allows time for any extra settling or feeding that bub may need. If you haven't already, click on the Experience tab up the top to find the lifestyle room section to check out the lifestyle room. The lifestyle room is natural light only, so if the weather isn't great and its a really cloudy/dark day we may have to move your session but if the days leading up to your session isn't looking great I will be in touch and we will work it all out. :) or we may be able to use studio strobe lighting but this is something we will talk about leading up to your session.
Once your Newborn session has been secured, and deposit received I will send you your session information to help you prepare for the session. so the more information I can give you, the more smoothly your session will flow and you will know what to expect at your session. You will receive a questionnaire, this helps me customize your session for you. If there is any props or anything I have used displayed on my website or facebook page that you would like me to use at your session, you can request them in the questionnaire that I send you. I will send you a styling guide as certain colours photograph better with my style of editing. Mums have access to my client wardrobe also, siblings I may have something for them in the client wardrobe but it is very tiny as I am slowly adding bits and pieces.
All Newborn sessions include parent and sibling posing. I aim to do the sibling poses within the first few set up's that way they can chill out or be taken for a walk to stretch their legs.
My lifestyle room isn't very big so I do ask only people being in the photos attend the session.
Viewing & Selecting Your Images
You will receive a proofing gallery link for you to go through the images and choose which images you wish to purchase for your collection. If you would like or thinking about purchasing any products or wall art I can show you the studio samples at your session.
After Your Session
Once all payments have been received I will start the editing process on your choosen images. 'a sneak peek' will be on my Insta & Facebook pages for you to see within a a week or 2. ( Your welcome to share the post ) The editing process up to 4 weeks. Then I will email you your gallery link & password for you to download your images to your computer or hard drive. I will then place any prints & product orders, and contact you when then are ready for collection from the studio, this usually takes a further 2-3 weeks. Printing times vary, it depends on which products are ordered.
If you do go home and decide you do want extra products or prints, just shoot me a message and we can arrange that for you.

A $200 non refundable deposit is due at time of booking to secure your date

Please note - your $200 non refundable deposit is required straight away when you click the book now button, then you will be sent an invoice for the remaining balance which is due 3 days before your session, afterpay is available on the deposit, but won't be available on the remaining balance. If you would like to use afterpay on the whole amount including the deposit please click the more information button instead.
