Posed Newborn Sessions
Ages 5 days-4 weeks
Having a baby is one of the most incredible and fulfilling experiences in someones life. Newborn's change so quickly and they don't stay newborns for too long and by 4 weeks old those newborn features are slowly disappearing as they grow into the little person.
This is why its so important to capture those sweet sleepy images within the first 4 weeks of their new lives. However the best time for a newborn session is when your baby is between 5-14 days old to be able to get all those sleepy curly and squishy little poses that we all love. Those wrinkles and milky smiles, those tiny little fingers & toes, are all the little details I love to capture for my clients, they will have for a life time.
When to Book your Newborn Session?
If you are pregnant it's time to book! It's never too early to book your newborn session. Usually around your 12 week ultrasound is a good time to book.
Why you ask? Because we book in your due date, and most babies do not arrive on their due dates, so we leave extra spaces around that date to allow for baby to come a little earlier or later, so this means we can only book a certain amount of babies in each month. So that is why it's so important to book your session as soon as you know you want a newborn session with me.
Your Studio Session
These sessions are held in my Lowood home studio, 25mins from Ipswich.
My studio is warm, comfortable and welcoming and I aim to give a relaxing and enjoyable experience for my clients and to let you take a moment to sit back, relax and enjoy a coffee or a cuppa and watch a movie while I work with your baby.
Please allow about 2-4 hrs for your newborn session. This allows time for any extra settling or feeding that bub may need. If you haven't already, click on the Experience tab up the top to find the studio section to check out the studio.
Once your Newborn session has been secured, I will send you your session information to help you prepare for the session. There is a lot that goes into Studio Newborn Sessions, so the more information I can give you, the more smoothly your session will flow and you will know what to expect at your session. You will receive a questionnaire, this helps me customize your session for you. If there is any props or anything I have used displayed on my website or facebook page that you would like me to use at your session, you can request them in the questionnaire that I send you.
All Newborn sessions ( except newborn mini's ) include parent and sibling posing. I aim to do the sibling poses within the first few set up's that way they can chill out or be taken for a walk to stretch their legs.
Studio session days are Tuesday's & Wednesday's and 1-2 weekends per month ( if you require a different day please contact me in advance )
Viewing & Selecting Your Images
48 hrs After your session, you will receive your online viewing gallery, this is just a proofing gallery your images will be unedited except for a couple that will be fully edited for you to see how your final images will look, and this is where you choose which images you wish to purchase for your collection, and choose your products & wall art. If you are unsure which products or wall art you would like or would look good in your home, that's ok, that's where I come in! I will help you select which products would be good for your home. Not everyone wants their images on the walls, there are lots of ways to display your images throughout your home without being on your walls. And I have all them in the studio so I can show you.
After Your Session
Once all payments have been received I will start the editing process on your choosen images. A 'sneak peek' will be on my Insta & Facebook pages for you to see. ( Your welcome to share the post ) The editing process up to 4 weeks. Then I will email you your gallery link & password for you to download your images to your computer or hard drive. I will then place any prints & product orders, and contact you when then are ready for collection from the studio, this usually takes a further 2-3 weeks. Printing times vary, it depends on which products are ordered.
If you do go home and decide you do want extra products or prints, just shoot me a message and we can arrange that for you.

All collections include a 2-4 hour studio session
High resolution digital files. Images are supplied in color plus black & white.
( This does NOT include Newborn Mini's )
All Newborn sessions except newborn mini's include a complementary sitter or outdoor family session ( thats just the session no images or prints are included you just pay for your collection ) saving of $200
Options to purchase additional prints and products are available.
